Hola means hi! Hello! Not goodbye. Tell everyone you meet. Just say hola! Repeat, say…Wow, ok. I was having a Sesame Street moment. That was a simpler time in my life, unlike this past week. I have basically done three things this week: work, eat, sleep. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Take heart, my lovelies for I have not abandoned you or this blog. Never. I promise you that fun posts are coming up. I will be heading back to my hometown of Washington, DC via NYC. I’m so freakin’ (I promised myself I wouldn’t curse on this blog) excited to see my family and friends after a year! I want to share all of my favourite things with you while I am there. Unsurprisingly, that will mean more food posts. ‘Cause, um, I likes to get my eat on and I miss the food in the US. Yes, the artery-clogging, high fructose corn syrup-laced, hydrogenated-oiled goodies are calling out to me. But that stuff will come later.
This post is to announce that I will be giving away my ticket to The Natural Lounge’s Naturally Fabulous Hair Meetup in London on the 8th of October. It pains me to miss this because it’s gonna be awesome. But I want to pay things forward. All you have to do to win this ticket is SUBSCRIBE BY EMAIL to this blog. That way, I will receive your email address and url link (if you have one) privately. I promise that this blog will be moving to better pastures soon with more public ways of following. For now, please use the SUBSCRIBE BY EMAIL button in the side bar or at the FOLLOW button at the top of the blog. That’s all you gotta do. The deadline to enter is the 29th of September. The winner will be announced on Saturday, 1st of October. I also have a train ticket from Birmingham to London that’s going to waste too, so depending on who the winner is, the train ticket will get thrown in too.

Times are rough, and don’t we all know it. Now’s as good a time as any to figure out how to stretch your pound and get more uses out of the everyday items you buy. Time is the luxury here, not the products. I will be participating in an upcoming workshop in north London about using items in your kitchen to enhance your health, beauty regimen and hair care routines. I will be focusing specifically on skincare. Taking care of your skin and hair is perhaps one of the most essential parts of any health and beauty procedure. It is very important to use good quality skincare products for your skin to get that glowing appearance and complexion. Our ancestors used natural resources for healing, prevention and preserving to rejuvenating the skin. I have even developed an amazing exfoliating scrub/mask recipe that will be shared with participants (can’t give it up yet, guys). Here’s all the info you need:
